# Setting up ad code compliant with the GDPR

Adskeeper is one of the leading native advertising companies. We reviewed our Policy to be fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a new European privacy regulation. We would like to assure our clients that all aspects of the new regulations have become effective and are reflected in our updated Privacy Policy.

Like many websites, we use cookies to uniquely identify a browser, which gives advertisers the ability to show targeted ads relevant to your website visitors. If your visitors prefer us not to store the unique cookie,  you should enable Opt-out the script at the website. Note that by opting out, your website visitors still will receive advertising from Adskeeper – it just won't be targeted to them.

Implement this script above each Adskeeper ad code, in case your visitor chooses to opt-out.

The opt-out functionality should be developed and set up by each website owner individually. Please note, that this script will work if only your visitor refreshes the page after choosing to opt-out.
