Search Feed Provider Moderation

For campaigns that use a configured search-feed provider, ad creatives go through one extra compliance check in addition to the usual Adskeeper review. If your campaign uses the Tonic feed, your creatives will first be reviewed by Adskeeper and then sent to Tonic for a second approval.

This second layer was added in response to Google’s updated RSoC restrictions effective August 25, 2025, which led search-feed providers to lean on ad-tech partners for moderation support.

How the two-step review works:

Step 1: Adskeeper Compliance Review

  • After you submit creatives, they pass through Adskeeper’s internal compliance checks;
  • During this time, creatives enter the "On moderation" status in the interface (see the example screenshot).

2.SF_moderation

Step 2: Tonic Compliance Review

  • Once Adskeeper approves, the creative is automatically forwarded to Tonic for its own compliance check;
  • While Tonic is reviewing, you’ll see Blocked by moderator with the reason Pending review by Search Feed provider.

Outcomes you’ll see in the platform:

Approved by Tonic: The creative is automatically unblocked and enters rotation—no action required on your side.

❌ Rejected by Tonic: Status remains Blocked by moderator with the reason Rejected by Search Feed provider — Reason: {provider_reason}.

This creative can’t be launched in campaigns unless edited and resubmitted.

4.SF_moderation

This extra moderation step applies only when your campaign’s Search provider is set to Tonic. For all other providers, the standard Adskeeper moderation flow applies.
