How to succeed in text-to-image requests

Open AI is software that is meant to transform written text into graphics. It can understand various languages and work with different styles of visuals. But dealing with a bot is not as easy as it might seem. However, there are some tips in writing the prompts that can help to achieve splendid results.

Advice:

1. Define image style. Start your prompt with the word that describes the desired pattern.

e.g.: watercolor, realistic photo, oil painting, 3D graphics, logo.

2. Set the right vibes. Make it clear what is artwork style preferred for the particular image.

e.g. : gothic, futuristic, modern, medieval, bubbled, detailed.

3. Give a short and exact description of the central object. Use no more than 2 adjectives.

e.g.: green alien, big transparent bulb, cute young woman, two running athletes.

4. Describe the background.

e.g.: on a beach, in a pink cup, on a large purple sofa, on belly skin.

5. Add the details that influence the perspective.

e.g.: fisheye lens, 45-angle view, distant view.

Restrictions:

As smart intelligence, Open AI is programmed to avoid any sharp subjects, like tolerance, racism, religious issues, etc. Therefore, certain words cannot be processed by it.

Here are the topics to avoid wasting time:

  1. Celebrities and public personalities. To avoid charges for creating fakes about famous people, Open AI won't process prompts, including their names.
  2. Sexually suggested requests (sexy, butt, genitalia)
  3. Violence (dead, kill, blood, murder)

Tips:

1. Open AI is a powerful yet not perfect software. It has certain issues that can ruin all the efforts despite perfectly written prompts. One of the odds is difficulties with creating human faces. They mostly look distorted and not realistic. But there are some phrases that can fix it:

  • Uniform eyes set

  • Symmetrical facial features

2. The other problem is human hands. Open AI often misses the exact amount of fingers, producing 6-7 and even 10-fingered palms. To avoid this, just set the common number:

  • Human hand with 5 fingers

3. Some images might look like an artificial or badly photoshopped set of various objects that do not match together. In this case, where possible, we might add the filters at the end of the prompt:

  • Sun rays

  • Sepia filter

  • Black and white photo
