Overview
Adskeeper uses a pre-paid CPC model, allowing you to define how much you’re willing to pay per click—either at the campaign level or individually for each ad.
Setting up your Cost Per Click (CPC) is a key step in managing your advertising spend efficiently in the Adskeeper platform. CPC determines how much you’ll be charged every time someone clicks on your ad. The platform offers flexibility by letting you configure CPC at two levels:
- Campaign Level – Set a default CPC that applies automatically to all new ads you add to the campaign.
- Ad Level – Fine-tune CPC for individual ads based on their performance or strategy.
This dual approach gives you both consistency and control. You can easily manage large campaigns with a unified CPC, but still have the option to increase or decrease CPC for specific ads to optimize performance.
Keep in mind:
- Changes at the campaign level only affect new ads created after the change.
- Existing ads retain their original CPC until you manually update them at the ad level.
The system will display a recommended CPC range to guide your input, but you can always consult support for tailored advice.
CPC at the Campaign Level
When you create a campaign, you’ll be prompted to set a default CPC during the Budget and Limits stage. This value will apply automatically to any new ads added to the campaign later.
What to remember:
- This campaign-level CPC doesn’t affect existing ads.
- Only new ads inherit this CPC setting.
- If you later change the CPC at the campaign level, it still only applies to future ads—not the ones already running.
If your account balance is in USD, your CPC input should be in USD cents (e.g., entering “25” means $0.25 per click).
A recommended CPC range is shown next to the CPC input box. For optimal results, it’s best to consult your account manager or use live chat to get advice based on your niche and market competition.
CPC at the Ad Level
Every new ad gets its CPC from the campaign by default. But you can tweak this anytime:
- Go to the Ads section in the platform.
- Find your ad and click on the CPC value next to it.
- Enter your custom CPC.
If you created ads before updating the campaign-level CPC, you’ll need to go into each ad’s settings to manually update their CPC values.
Here’s how it might play out:
- You set your campaign CPC to $0.1.
- You launch the campaign.
- Later, you create a new ad. It inherits the $0.1 CPC.
- You decide this ad should perform better with a higher bid, so you manually change it to $0.15.
- Other ads remain at their originally set CPC—unless you manually update them too.
