Advertiser Name Guidelines

Why Advertiser Names Matter

The name displayed as the advertiser (your brand, product, or company name) helps build trust with users. It signals that the promoted content is tied to a real, legitimate offering.

General Guidelines

  • You can use your brand, product, company, agency, or even a category name as the advertiser name.
  • While optional for advertisers, the advertiser's name is mandatory for moderated ads. If left blank, our moderators will fill it in based on our standards.
  • The advertiser's name applies across the entire campaign—it shows up on all rotating ads within that campaign.
  • Once a campaign is created, the advertiser's name cannot be changed.
  • If the name doesn’t meet our guidelines, moderators may modify it.
  • The advertiser's name should match the original brand or product name accurately. Spelling doesn’t need to be exact—just steer clear of any offensive language.
  • Capitalize every word in the advertiser's name. For names starting with a lowercase letter (like iPhone), type it directly—don’t hit the space bar afterward.
  • Keep the name within 25 characters.
  • For Search Feed campaigns, the advertiser name is automatically set to “Search Ads” in the appropriate language. This cannot be changed.

Advertiser_nameHow to Set a Proper Advertiser Name

  1. For A/B tests or split testing, choose a descriptive category name or relevant keyword, such as: Health and Beauty, Hair Care, Investment Opportunities;
  2. Match the language of the advertiser name to the product or campaign:
  • Use the same language as your campaign or default to English.
  • Be consistent with your actual product or service name.

3. Don’t imitate well-known brands or trademarks. Examples to avoid: Cossmopolitan, Menashealth;

4. Don’t use domain-style names: track.sample.com, Manyusefultips.
Use instead:  [Product Name], Many Useful Tips;

5. Avoid symbols like dashes or slashes: World-news, AVC-gummies.

Use instead: World News, AVC Gummies;

6. Avoid using “Rx” in names (commonly associated with prescription products): NaturalGrowRx, TestoRx.

Use instead: NaturalGrow CBD, Testo Supplement or High Energy Labs (supplement manufacturer).

FAQ

1. Does the advertiser's name determine the ad’s category?

No, the design and presentation of the ad decide the category, not the advertiser's name.

Example:
Offer: Bitcoin Profit
Advertiser name: Bitcoin Profit
Ad unit: luxury life of a young couple
Category: Options

2. What if both my product name and domain are not suitable?

Choose an alternative that still reflects your product’s nature.

Example:
Don't use: cnnmoneyreports - unacceptable domain name (CNN endorsement)
Don't use: Weed Millionaire - unacceptable product name (“weed”)
Use the following instead: Money Reports, Golden Millionaire

3. Should content campaigns skip advertiser names?

No. All campaigns, including content-focused ones, should have a proper advertiser name.

4. What if I’m promoting social media pages or web channels?

If you’re using platforms like Facebook, YouTube, or Telegram, don’t use the platform name. Use the page or channel’s name instead.

Example:
https://www.facebook.com/OrganicBox/
Don't use: Facebook
Use the following instead: Organic Box

https://t.me/lowcostua
Don't use: Telegram
Use the following instead: Lowcost
